Interior and Exterior Coatings
About Coating
Before coating, the pipe surface is sandblasted to roughen the surface and remove surface rust. With the roughness that occurs after sandblasting, the surface grows by approximately 300% and this is necessary for the paints to adapt to the surface and show better adhesion. Swedish Standards SA (ISO 8501-1) are used in the cleanliness rating (blasting grades) of the metal surface being blasted, the classification starts with SA1 and can be improved up to SA3.
